Directing
Artist Statement
I am a theatre director and intimacy practitioner focused on telling stories with social, political, or cultural relevance. I direct plays and musicals that engage with the world we live in, aiming to balance entertainment with substance.
My work is rooted in Stanislavski, with a strong emphasis on research, character analysis, and actor-centered rehearsal processes. I’m fascinated by the choices characters make and how those decisions shape a story’s meaning within a broader context. Every production begins with collaborative conversations, shaping a shared vision that honors the material while ensuring it speaks to contemporary audiences.
I value the rehearsal room as a space of curiosity and collective creativity. Collaboration is central to my process, and I prioritize consent-based, inclusive environments where actors and designers feel empowered to take risks so we can build the show together. As an intimacy director, I bring a informed, clear, and care-centered approach to staging vulnerable and intimate moments.
I direct theatre because it’s a collaborative, immediate art form capable of starting conversations and offering new perspectives. I’m interested in work that leaves audiences with something to think about, or a call to action. Ultimately, I aim to make productions that are well-crafted, relevant, and driven by meaningful collaboration.
